Vitalist Update Release Notes
July 21st, 2009 / 9 Comments

Hopefully everyone is enjoying the latest updates we have made to Vitalist. Here are the latest features now available:

  • Speed – We have worked very hard to improve speed all throughout the application
  • Improved note handling – This is where you will notice quite a bit of change. We are using a new note input method, known as Markdown. More information will be released about this soon in our support. Also included is a pop-out window for better managing actions with longer notes.
  • Icon shortcuts – All of the mini icons next to actions/projects now jump you directly to that tab when editing. For example, clicking the note icon will take you to the notes tab.
  • Additional search options – Next actions only and a new sort are now available in the Smart Searches
  • Group by Projects – When grouping actions by project, the project header will now display the project’s due date along with the related actions’ due dates.
  • Offline support – We are releasing the beta for offline support using Google Gears. If you are interested in testing this out please email us at support@vitalist.com.
  • iPhone App beta – We are releasing the beta for the iPhone app. If you are interested in testing this out please email us at support@vitalist.com.

    Hi,

I wander if you are ready to release the iPhone and offline beta?

I have emailed in but not heard back.

    Thanks

    Joe

I wonder if you have plans for further development of recurring tasks. I am thinking about a higher grade of customization options, i.e. being able to have recurring tasks for no-so-standard periods, e.g. 18 days, and also to differentiate recurring dates that happen on fixed dates, e.g. beginning of month, from those that happen X days after the previous occurrence, whenever it happened.
    Thanks!

is it just me or is it really hard to find detailed information about this service? no search function? no hotlinks e.g. “click on the picture to learn more about this feature”?? i’m interested in the smartphone features, especially BB apps.

    anyone use this with BB?

    Thanks

I’ve used many task systems in the past, including Toodledo (cluttered, overkill), Nozbe (new v2 leaves a lot to be desired) and RTM (good but the tabs drive me mad). Vitalist is the best of the bunch and is the one I’m sticking with. I like the look and feel and the management of actions works for me. Keep up the good work. The only thing I would say is that the developers need to update the blog a little more often. Stay in touch, keep close to your customers.

I’m an iPod touch user who is very eagerly awaiting “Offline Support” and the “iPhone App”. Any ETA on these featuresd? Also, I am a professional software developer and would be happy to participate in beta testing.

Hi, was there ever any headway on Offline Support. I do highly support the need for this. Especially when I get into a bad coverage zone and need to look something up.
Are there any updates on this.
    Thank You
