[...] This weekend, Vitalist added more functionality to their service. They added the ability to create subprojects, make contexts as tags, quick add/edit and even added priorities. The improvements are great in that they add some elbow room in using the system. They did, however, get something wrong that is important to people who adhere to the GTD system. They removed the ability to sort by context and by project. That’s like having a Corvette with a lawnmower engine. They took out the heart of the GTD system and put in Priorities.
Hi,

your new version seems really promising. After some testing I do have a few questions though:
1/ sub-projects: if I get your screenshot allright on Neteffect the subproject should be displayed too when filtering on the parent project. Well it's not the case for me.
2/ drag and drop: I found this a really cool ability of vitalist as my daily priorities might fluctuate quickly and I find a drag and drop easier than playing with configurations like a combination of due date and priority settings. It does not work anymore and that's bad...

I should add that I tried these two things on both Firefox 2.0.0.3 and IE and that I am very found of vitalist.

Keep it up

[...] If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! The Vitalist folks said they’d have the new features out by the end of March, and they did just that. Barely! New and improved features were rolled out earlier today (this afternoon I think?). This update includes many new features and enhancements. To read about the major changes, please see the past few articles on this blog: Contexts as Tags, Sub-Projects, Quick Add/Edit, and Priority. We think you will find that these features make Vitalist both more powerful and more adaptable to different productivity styles. [...]

[...] Sub-Projects - While many of the GTD purists might be wondering how this is beneficial, I think this will be a very slick addition to Vitalist. Imagine being able to input your latest mind-map into Vitalist as a single project? No longer will you have 20 different projects that deal with your upcoming move or bedroom remodel - now they can all sit comfortably under the same heading, where you can more easily track their progress in relation to the overall project. An awesome feature, indeed! [...]

I am really looking forward to being able to add subprojects. So far I've been using vitalist as my next actions list, but managing my projects with lists on a spreadsheet. It is going to be great to be able to put all that info into Vitalist.

[...] Sub Projects will work very well with how I like to do things. Currently I tend to prefix every project with a company name abbreviation to help categorize and order them. This will, if nothing else, make things look better -and- give me a lot more flexibility with how I arrange stuff. [...]
