Usernames for Vitalist Login
September 10th, 2008 / 7 Comments
As we come closer to introducing the next version of Vitalist we wanted to let everyone about one big change we are making to our login system. Usernames will replace email addresses as the login identity for your Vitalist account. Passwords will remain unchanged.
We are making this change after many requests from users to change email addresses. This way, you will have more freedom to easily change your email address in the future. This should also speed up logging in on iPhones and other mobile devices.
If you have used our email-to-inbox feature, the username you created will become your login username. If you have not yet created a username, please go to your Vitalist Settings and select the Info page. Once there you can fill in the username field and click Save.

Makes sense. Kinda hoping OpenID of some sort is on the roadmap.

Should it be already possible to login using the new username? I can login with my email address, but not with my username.

As of now, login is only possible with your email address. Usernames were added after launch as a way to create a unique vitalist email address for sending email to your vitalist inbox.

when are the changes scheduled to occur? I want to put down on my calendar the date I’m supposed to start using the new logging procedures.
